How to use Meta Author Tag on your website? How to give credit to the person or company that made your website? You use the so-called AUTHOR meta tag. There are also Content Management Systems (CMS) that will put the name of the actual person editing the page. If used like this, it is easy to find the right person who is responsible for a web-page.

Sometimes a CMS refers to the author in the case of the writer and refers to the web-author in the case of a mail server manager. Therefore you will also find the meta tag web-author.

Where should you add this meta author tag?

You may add this meta author tag to all of your web-pages, so not only on the first index page. Make sure that on every page relevant meta tags are added. Add keywords and phrases that are relevant and correspond to the text and the language on that specific page. It might be a lot of work to add specific meta tags to each page but you will notice in time that it works!
